Geri Schoen

Geri Ann Schoen, 73, of Carlinville, Illinois, died at her residence on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 1:18 pm.  

She was born October 11, 1952, in Springfield, IL to Joseph Trojaniak & Bernice Bili Trojaniak. She married Ronald Schoen on July 12, 1975 in Benld, IL.

After having received her bachelor’s degree from SIUE, Geri was an elementary school teacher for Litchfield, Carlinville and Gillespie. Geri enjoyed being with her family.  

She is survived by her spouse, Ron Schoen of Carlinville, IL, children, Kari (Dee) Roller of Mahomet, IL, Joey (Ashley) Schoen of Bloomington, IL, grandchildren, Joseph Roller, Andrew Roller, and sister, Jo Ann Hill of Naperville, IL.  

Geri was preceded in death by her parents and brother in law, Harold Hill.  

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services are Monday, September 28, 2026 at 10:00 am at Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld. Burial will be at Benld Cemetery, Benld, Illinois.
