H. Hamberg

H. Alberta Hamberg, 93, died at 12:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Integrity of Alton.  She was born January 25, 1926 in Alton the daughter of the late Bert and Hazel (Brown) Ogden.  She retired as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Alton.  On October 12, 1946 in Alton she married Alphonse Hamberg and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1997.  Surviving are three daughters and one son, Vicki Kuchnicki of Alton, Jayne Goskie (David) of Alton, Darla Williams (Stephen) of Alton and one son, Carl Hamberg (Joanne) of Alton, 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Besides her husband she was preceded in death by one grandson, Carl A. Hamberg and one brother, Dale Ogden.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton.  Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Additional information and online guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
