Helen Bettis

Helen Clara Frymire Bettis, 94, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Robings Manor.

Born on December 2, 1920 in Wood River, she was the daughter of Clyde and Bessie (Harlow) Mahanna.

She married Norman Kruse and later, Ray Frymire.  Both preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Gary (Pat) Kruse of Wood River; daughter, Carol Cornelius of Brighton; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Preceding in death were her parents; husbands; and two sisters, Rita Lawrence and Wilma Rogers.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday.

Burial will follow in  Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
