Helen Moss

Helen Louise Moss, 95, passed away at 10:25 pm Friday February 22, 2017 University Nursing and Rehab in Edwardsville, IL.

She was born on November 18, 1922 in Ina, IL the daughter of Herman & Nella (Plasters) Gibbs. 

Helen married Ernest R. Moss on August 24, 1940 in Perryville, MO and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1999.

She was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield, IL and attended St. John’s United Church of Christ in Midway while residing in Bethalto.

Helen is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ken & Cassie Moss of Oregon, WI; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan & Homer Henke of Moro, and Betty & Michael Malone of Centralia, IL; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9 am until time of funeral services at 11 am Friday December 29, 2017 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Rev. Lori Schafer officiating.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery at 2 pm in Springfield, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ in Midway or a charity of one’s choice.
