Herman Garrison

Herman Dale Garrison, 80, of Wood River, IL, passed away Wed. Sept. 14, 2016 at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1936 in Armstrong, MO to the late Herman L. & Alma Julia (Loe) Garrison.

Mr. Garrison had been employed with SSI Global Security.  He was a member of the American Legion and had been a softball referee for Wood River Parks & Rec.  He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with friends at the Wood River Donut Shop.

Survivors include 6 children: Melissa (Rickey) Mayberry of Belleville, IL, Cindy Dowd of IA, Lester Garrison of IA, Dale Wulf of TX, Randy Range of MI and Kinny Range of MI; and several grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Garrison.

Memorial visitation will be Sat. Sept. 24, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial and military services at 2:00 p.m. at Paynic Home for Funerals.
