Holly Janiece Federle, 58, passed away at 1:59 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2020, at her home.
Born Aug. 26, 1961 in Phoenix, AZ, she was the daughter of James & Aleta (Cunningham) Tannlund.
She retired as a nurse having served at OSF St. Anthony's Health Center and Gateway Regional Medical Center. Holly was a very loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a heart of gold and had a passion for helping others. She was a wonderful nurse, an angel of mercy. She loved to dance and sing. She was a mother, not only to her daughter, but she was a mother figure to many. She had an open heart and mind and never judged anyone. She was one of those beautiful, kind souls and loved deeply. Even when she endured hard times that seemed to have broken her, she never became bitter and she always had this amazing strength to live and carry on. She was a very strong person. Holly was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back to keep you warm. She was taken too soon and though she is gone, she is not forgotten. She lives on in our memories and hearts. Rest in peace, Holly, you are always loved and will truly be missed.
Survivors include a daughter: Rachel Federle of East Alton, IL; a granddaughter: Jupiter Federle of East Alton; and a brother: Chris Tannlund of MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mark Tannlund.
Memorial visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26 at Paynic Home for Funerals. Burial will be at a later date.
