Homer Chamberlain

Homer R. Chamberlain, 87, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.

Born Oct. 24, 1929 in Alton, he was a son of Harold and Katherine (Lindley) Chamberlain.

He married Patty Welch, and she survives.

Homer worked as an engineer for over 36 years at Sverdrup & Parcel in St. Louis.  He enjoyed politics and drawing.

Also surviving are two sons, Greg (Katherine) Chamberlain of Wood River and Mark Chamberlain of East Alton; 3 grandchildren, Andrew, Kelly and Gregory Jr.; 5 great grandchildren; and a sister, Kay Lawenda of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Chamberlain.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.
