
Ima F. Brant, age 96 of Highland, IL, died Monday, December 9, 2024, at University Nursing & Rehab Center in Edwardsville, IL.
She was born on Sunday, December 25, 1927, in Lithium, MO, the daughter of William Henry and Minnie (nee Cairns) Taylor.
On Sunday, March 17, 1946, she married Arthur Jaydee Brant nee at Leadwood, Missouri, who passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 1995.
She was a member of First Baptist Church; former Maplewood Park Baptist Church charter member, Cahokia, IL, and Trinity Baptist Church, St. Mary’s, MO.
Ima taught Adult Class Sunday School for 7 decades and was a past president of the Women's Missionary Union at Maplewood Park, Cahokia, IL. She was an Avid coffee drinker, loved her mugs. Ima was crazy about Garfield the Cat; and had a love of jewelry. She was a big St. Louis Cardinal fan but most of all was her love for her family and God. Ima graduated from St. Mary High School in St. Mary. MO. She was taught in a one room school house in Lithium, MO. After her marriage to Arthur "Jay" they moved to Perryville, MO. and became a housewife. Later after her children were older she became a secretary for Parks College in Cahokia, IL. She then went to work as a secretary for Cahokia School District 187 for 28 years. After retirement she moved to Highland, IL in 2009. Ima lived at Highland Home and was an active resident for several years.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Highland, IL.
Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery in Highland, IL.
