Jackie Young

Jackie Andrew Young, 77, passed away 12:55 pm, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his residence.

Born December 20, 1942 in Granite City, he was the son of Arnold and Bessie (Pyles) Young.

A U.S. Army veteran, he worked as a railroad brakeman before retiring.

He is survived by two sons, Dwayne (Cassy) Young of Wood River, Scotty (Jamie) Young of Collinsville; two daughters, Amber Young (companion, Tyler Jows) of Bethalto, Kimberly (Randy) Tindall of Festus, MO; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, David, Jerry, Dennis and Bobby Young; and a sister, Patsy Topol.

Private burial will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
