James Hartley

James Charles Hartley, 67, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence.

Born in Cottage Hills on November 5, 1949, he was the son of George Edwin, Sr. and Anna Belle R. (Steward) Hartley.

He had been a welder and fabricator in the steel industry for over 40 years.

On October 18, 1968 in Cottage Hills, he married Brenda K. Moore.  She survives.

Surviving also are two daughters, Tamara (James) Bizaillion of Edwardsville, Monica (William) Corbin of Gillespie; three grandchildren, William, Jr., Jacob and Wyatt Corbin; two great grandchildren, Alexis and Madeline Corbin; two brothers, George E., Jr. and Andrew Hartley of Royal Lakes; and sister Patty Jo of Peoria.

Cremation services were accorded.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in charge of arrangements.
