James Klass

James E. “Jim” Klass, 78, of Freeburg, IL, born June 26, 1947, in Green Bay, WI, died Thursday, February 5, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Klass retired from Empire Comfort Systems and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He loved to bowl, loved sports of all kinds, but especially enjoyed rooting for the Green Bay Packers. Jim loved to go camping with his wife, Sherry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margaret, nee Schroer, Klass.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Sherry Lynn, nee Ingram, Klass, whom he married on May 27, 1977; a brother, Richard J. (Gerri) Klass; many close nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law.
