Jerry Weigel

Jerry R. Weigel, 70, died at 3:33 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.

Born April 24, 1943 in Delhi, he was the son of Robert and Dorothy (Chappell) Weigel. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired as a mold maker from Owens Illinois Glass in Alton.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and two sisters, Barbara Meyer of Delhi and Marcella Hornsey (Joseph) of Godfrey. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melvin Weigel, and one in infancy, a sister, Wilma Calame, his twin sister, Judith A. Weigel, a nephew, Royce Weigel, and a niece, Joyce Weigel.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Randy Butler will officiate.
