Jimmy Byrd

Jimmy D. Byrd, 65, of Mt. Clare, IL, died at his residence on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was born January 19, 1961, in Centreville, IL to Earl D. Byrd & Manerva Ella McKinney.

He was a maintenance technician for Cott Beverages. Jimmy was a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG). He enjoyed sporting events and riding his side by side.

He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Byrd of Granite City, IL, Shane (Brandy) Byrd of Bethalto, IL, Dustin (Hannah) Byrd of Warrenton, MO, grandchildren, Dominic, Hailey, Jaxon, Zachory, Mackayla, Rilee, Cody, Zachary, great grandchild, Azzy, siblings, Irene Zimmerman, Sharon Crow, Cathy Selph, Michael Byrd, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog, Rex.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, David Byrd, Dean Byrd, Loyd Byrd, Debbie Durbin, Robert Byrd, Jerry Byrd and grandchild, Emily Byrd.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie from 10:00 am until 11:30 am.

Funeral services are Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 11:30 am at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL. Memorials are suggested to Donor's Choice.
