Joe Gruenewald, 52, of Belleville, IL, born Friday, June 29, 1973, in Belleville, IL, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025 at his residence in Belleville, IL.

Joe worked as a Building and Property Manager for St. Matthew Church. He was a longtime member of St. Matthew Church in Belleville IL. He was active in Joy of Easter, and a former volunteer for Franklin Neighborhood Association. He was a graduate of Belleville Township West. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Greenville University.

He was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle and he loved his church family.

Visitation: Visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Matthew Church in Belleville, IL.

Services: Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 5, 2025 at St. Matthew Church, with Rev. Robert Swickard officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory-Belleville, IL.
