John Holbrook

John C. Holbrook, 50, died at 12:10 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at his home. 

Born November 14, 1960 in Alton, he was the son of Bill and Frances (Trout) Holbrook of The Villages, FL. 

Along with his parents, he is survived by two brothers, James Hurley of St. Louis, MO, and Michael Hurley and his wife Lori of Lexington, KY, two sisters, Cindy Batson and her husband Chris of Alton, and Susan Nave and her husband David of Alton, several nieces and nephews, and his fiancé Joanne Showacre of Alton. 

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.  Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.  Pastor Royce Roy will officiate.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
