John Miles

John E. "Jay" Miles, 43, died 6:22 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Health Center in Alton.

Born in Alton on March 20, 1973 he was the son of Brenda Fuller of Wood River and the late Terry Miles.

He had been a self-employed contractor for 25 years.

On April 19, 2003 in Grafton, he married Julie Richards.  She survives.

Surviving also are sons, Brandon Martin and John E. Miles, II both of Alton; daughters, Britteny Miles and Danika Miles both of Alton; brother, Tommy Dixon  of Jerseyville; and sisters, Kim Weaver of East Alton, Traci Meyers and Teri McGuiggan both of Wood River, Krissy Outlander of Paris, IN.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of expenses.
