John Dailey

John H. Dailey, 87, passed away at 7:25 pm Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton.   

He was born on April 28, 1927 in Tamms, Illinois, the son of William and Josephine (Rendelmen) Dailey. 

He married Dallas E. Flock on November 2, 1946 in Meadowbrook.  She preceded him in death on June 24, 2008. 

John served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946.  He worked at the Alton Box Board for 30 years until his retirement in 1978.  He loved to travel, hunt and fish. 

He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Cazadd of Branson, Missouri and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son-in-law, Edward Cazadd, six sisters and seven brothers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.

Military Rites will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel.
