Jonell Naylor

Jonell Beulah Naylor, 79, passed away 6:02 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Batchtown on December 13, 1937, she was the daughter of Walter Albert and Beatrice (Strode) Gade.

Jonell had worked as a librarian and later as a sales associate for Walmart in Wood River.  She enjoyed hand sewing, embroidery, quilting and loved reading.

On September 16, 1955 in Hernando, MS, she married Paul Harvey Naylor.  He died October 16, 1996.

Surviving are a son, Paul (Stella) Naylor of Wood River; two daughters, Lanell M. (Robert) Tolbert of Urbana, Carolyn (Rick) Arnold of Canton, GA; five grandchildren; and a sister, Alberta Hillen of O'Fallon, MO.

Her parents; husband; son, David Allen Naylor; brothers, Stanley and Leelland and Sister Wilma Bessier preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor David Rose and Scott Levan will officiate.

Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bethalto.
