Joseph Dial

Joseph Thomas Dial, 80, died at 12:09 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at OSF Saint Anthony’s Hospital.  He was born March 16, 1937 in Alton the son of the late Manuel Dial and Margaret (Chenault).  He retired after many years as a truck driver and was a member Community Christian Church in Alton.  On July 19, 1975 in Godfrey he married Joyce June Hoff and she survives.  Also surviving are two sons, Robert Branham of Alton and David K. Dial (Freda) of Springfield, MO, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 with Reverend Dave Burger officiating.  Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.  Memorials may be made to Community Christian Church in Alton.  Additional information and online guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
