
Josephine Ann Strebel, 83, died at 3:10 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Morningside of Godfrey.
Born February 7, 1935 in Alton, she was the daughter of Clyde and Florence (Walters) Clark. On November 8, 1952 she married Richard L. Strebel Sr. in Alton. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2009. Mrs. Strebel was a restaurant manager for Johnson’s Corner for over 20 years. She enjoyed her family and cooking and loved the St. Louis Cardinals. She truly missed her husband.
Surviving are two daughters, Ann (Greg) Kerr of Alton, and Mary (Ken) Corbett of Washington, MO, four sons, Richard L. (Amarjeet) Strebel Jr. of Wentzville, MO, James (Jane) Strebel of Godfrey, John (Lucy) Strebel of Houston, TX, and Raymond (Elyse) Strebel of Alton, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and James Clark and a sister, Patricia Wyman.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
