Josephine Zurbriggen

Josephine A. Zurbriggen, 77, passed away at 2:12pm on Monday, September 21, 2026, at her residence. She was born on August 30, 1949, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late John H. and Leona M. (Sumner) Zurbriggen. 

Survivors include a daughter: Rebecca Lemmons of Wood River, a granddaughter: Skyler Vonwurmb of Wood River, two sisters and brothers in law: Dorothy and Steve Rice of St. Louis, Catherine and Richard Florez of Osh Kosh, Nebraska, two brothers and sisters in law: Charles and Teresa Zurbriggen of Hazelwood, Missouri, Gerard and Kim Zurbriggen of Hazelwood, Missouri, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Josephine worked as a legal secretary. She was an active member of Leclaire Christian Church in Edwardsville where she was involved in the quilting club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: John Zurbriggen. 

Cremation rites will be accorded.
