Joyce Massmann

Joyce A. Massmann, nee Kehrer, 82, Donnybrook, ND, born October 30, 1943, died Thursday, January 22, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Joyce retired from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital after more than 35 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Stella Kehrer, nee Curry; six sisters, Ethel Keller, Irma Hankammer, June Pratt, Stella Kehrer in infancy, Florence Voegele, and Evelyn Kehrer; five brothers, Louis, Edward, Russell, Robert, and Herman Kehrer; and her boyfriend, Marvin Striebel.

She is survived by five children, Tracy (Janet) Coughlin, Kirk (Michelle) Coughlin, Kim Mappes, Paul (Laura) Coughlin, and Joyce Coughlin; ten grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Mindy, Heather, Kristen, Keith, Brandon, Kelli, Dawson, and Ian; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pearl (Rod) Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Freeburg, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Freeburg, IL, with Rev. Andrew Lovins officiating.

Burial will be at Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
