Karen Hensen, 66, passed away 8:15 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

Born in Alton on June 24, 1951, she was the daughter of Paul and Eileen (Connors) Dixon.

She had been employed with American Water in Alton.

Surviving are a daughter, Jessica (John) Hendrickson of Wood River; four grandchildren, John, Victor, Russell and Perry Hendrickson; brother, Stephen (Marjorie) Dixon of O'Fallon, MO; sister, Denise (Scott) Hall of White Bear Lake, MI.

Her parents and a brother, Paul Dixon, Jr preceded i death.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation services have been accorded.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
