Katherine Fletcher

The family of Katherine Ann Fletcher (Nee: Ufer) of Kampsville, Illinois is saddened to announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the age of 68.

Katherine, who introduced herself as Kathy, was born on Thursday, April 17th, 1958, in Jerseyville, IL. She was third born daughter of the late Leland and Velma Jane (Davenport) Ufer.

Kathy took pride in her work serving in a variety of positions throughout her life including de-tasselling corn at Columbiana, working for Capital Records, serving as a Dispatcher in the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, and being a Waitress and Cook at Mozier Junction. Though she worked many other jobs, her primary joy always came from caring for, feeding, and tending to others. Beyond this, she loved sewing, reading, looking for Native Artifacts, and music.

She is survived by one Daughter, Kyla Woosley of Alton, and one Granddaughter, Olivia Link. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her former husband Richard Chris Woolsey, and two sisters Cindy Reeves and Karen Hall.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Hardin City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Close friends and family are welcome to join.
