Katherine Wilson

Katherine T. Wilson, 81 of East Alton passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Alton Memorial Hospital.  She was born July 20, 1936 in Alton, IL to Theodore and Lena (Harper) Gavellas.  She married George F. Wilson January 21, 1960 in Alton; he preceded her in death October 5, 2003.  Katherine worked as registered nurse before retiring.

She is survived by two sons, Mike (Sandy) Wilson of Huntley, IL and Chris (Margie) Wilson of Bethalto; five grandchildren, Brandie (Mike) McCoy, Michael (Nicole) Wilson, Alicia (Joshua) Lipe, Erika (Austin) Agney and Hunter Wilson and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, George Gavellas.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon, Saturday, January 7, 2018 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.  Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com.
