Kathleen Marie “Kathy” Woods, 61, of Maplewood, Missouri, and formerly of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away at 10:36 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Rosewood Heights, Illinois.

She was born October 7, 1964, in East St. Louis, Illinois, a daughter of the late William Lee “Bill” Hammers and the late Betty Jo (Coleson) Scovill. She married Gerald “Wayne” Woods on May 15, 1996, in Maplewood, Missouri, and he preceded her in death.

Kathy worked as a supervisor with TRG in Shrewsbury, Missouri. She was a devoted member of Legacy Revival Center in Collinsville, Illinois, and found great inspiration through the teachings of Jimmy Swaggart over the years. She enjoyed crocheting, treasured time spent at family gatherings, and especially loved celebrating the holidays. Kathy will be remembered for her warmth, love, and the special moments she shared with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Billie Jo (Ricky) Roe of Rosewood Heights, Illinois, and Constance “Connie” Duke of Maplewood, Missouri; a son, Joshua Andrew Aden of Maplewood, Missouri; five grandchildren, Tyler Fournier, Michael Roe, Phillip Roe, Elijah Roe, and Skylar Roe; three sisters, Lisa (David) Ray of Granite City, Illinois, Pam (Mark Sayre) Sage of Washington, and Kelly (Josh) Brown of Portland, Oregon; a brother, Charles Scovill Jr. of Granite City, Illinois; two stepchildren, Tracy Woods-Budzinski and Wayne Woods; five step-grandchildren, Darien, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Hayden, and Evelyn; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Charles Franklin Scovill Sr.; a daughter, Amanda Marie Duke; and a brother, William “Billy” Hammers.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Ron Habermehl officiating.
