Kathryn Murray

Kathryn E. Murray, 72, passed away 10:22 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born on June 30, 1945 in Alton, the daughter of James Wilbert and Dorothy Ellen (Osborne) Shellenberg.

She had been a plant manager for International Mill Services before retiring the was a secretary for the Simmons Law Firm..

Kathryn enjoyed camping, spending time with family and meeting people.

She is survived by her husband,  David Murray; son, David (Jennifer) Murray of Wood River; daughters, Karen (John) Hall of Bethalto; Shelly (Marshall) Eccher of Milstadt; six grandchildren, Mallory (Justin) Zimmerman, Madison Hall, Abby and Jacob Eccher, Ashton and Taylor Murray; and sisters, Kristi (Michael) Ranek of Edwardsville and Patricia (Michael) McOwan of Grafton.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Pastor Kale Hanson will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
