Kathryn Frederick

Kathryn J. Frederick, 79, passed away 7:10 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler on May 4, 1936, she was the daughter of Merle Leon and Opal (Hutton) Mitchell.

A member of Holy Angels Catholic Parish, she had been a secretary the Ohio School System.

On January 16, 1953 in Harvey, IL, she married Donald Frederick.  He survives.

Surviving also are a son, Bob Frederick of Lynwood, IL; nieces and nephew, Judith Rice, Karen Leight and Richard Shores.

Her parents and a sister, Evelyn Shores preceded in death.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
