Kenneth Brown

Kenneth D. Brown, 72, of Gillespie, IL, died at his residence on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

He was born November 27, 1952, in Litchfield, IL to LaVonne Brown & Calista Smith Brown. He married Virginia Hahn Brown on June 17, 1976. He was a flooring installer. Kenneth was an artist. He played guitar in local bands. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his spouse, Virginia Brown of Gillespie, IL, children, Angie (Adam) Butler of Belleville, IL, Monty (Erica) Brown of Mt Olive, IL, grandchildren, Chelsey (Alex) Wessel of Hamel, IL, Landon Brown of Mt Olive, IL, great grandson, Bennett Wessel, siblings, Don Brown of Staunton, Kate Campbell of Wilsonville, IL and special friend, Tom Sorbie.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Delbert Brown, Bob Brown, Lyle Brown, June Campbell, Darlene Bruhn and Dave Brown.

Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Gillespie High School Band.
