Kenneth Van Huss

Kenneth Wayne Van Huss, age 56 of Auburn, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Van Huss Sr. was born December 2, 1969, in Carlinville, Illinois. He was the son of Donald Lee Van Huss and Barbara Avanzini. Kenny grew up in the Carlinville area, attended public schools and graduated from High School. He worked for Passalacqua Powell Trucking for many years and enjoyed driving his semi. Some of Kenny’s interests were classic trucks and cars and building model cars and trucks. He had a passion for antique cars and trucks and loved antiques.

He was engaged to Lana Lamkin of Auburn, Illinois. He is survived by his children: Kenneth Wayne Van Huss II of Woodriver, Illinois, David Van Huss and wife Vanessa of Carlinville, Illinois, and Cody Smith and wife Norma of Greenville, Illinois. He is also survived by a sister Mari Anne Mulkins, and 2 aunts: Rosemari and Sharon. Kenny also was a wonderful fur-dad to 4 huskies: Hunky, Arrow, Mack, and Diesel.

Kenny loved spoiling his grandchildren: Shirey Smith, Zoey Van Huss, Matthew Van Huss, Haylie Van Huss, Dixie Van Huss, Mason Lewis, and is reunited with 2 grandchildren in heaven Maverick Smith and Dominic Van Huss.
