Kenneth J. Zika, 85, of Belleville, IL, born January 17, 1940, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Kenny retired after 36 years from Taylor Roofing filling positions of Journeyman, Foreman and Superintendent. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus, St Pius X Council 3189. He served in the Army National Guard for a short while and was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church for 58 years. Kenny enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool. He loved being outdoors and spending time at his clubhouse.

He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Zika; his parents, George and Catherine, nee Gebke, Zika; his brother, George Zika, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Viola, nee Erlinger, Bach.

Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Geraldine M. “Gerry,” nee Bach, Zika; his daughter, Deann (Andy) Bergmann; three grandchildren, Trevor Bergmann (Kate), Amanda (Brandon) Fritz, and Tyler Bergmann; two sisters, Joyce (John) Krueger and Marilyn (Ronald) Yeager; two sisters-in-law, Mary Zika, and Judy Kapp; a brother-in-law, Bob Bach; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, or Family Hospice. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
