Lee McVey

Lee Allen McVey, 58, passed away at 5:00 pm Monday, November 5, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton. 

He was born on June 9, 1954 in Fort Hood, TX, the son of Leonard and Lois (Sharpnack) McVey.  

He married Rhonda “Ange” Stefani on April 5, 1988 in St. Louis, MO.  She survives.  

Lee was a supervisor for Olin Corporation for over 30 years.  He enjoyed wood working, fishing, cooking, deer hunting, spending time with his family and NASCAR.  He loved helping other people.   

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Heather McVey and her fiancé, Jeremy Crump of Bethalto, Colin McVey and his fiancée, Briana Reppenhagen of Bethalto, Sean and Maureen Butler of Bethalto and Shawn and Sissey McVey of Florida; five grandchildren, Garret, Nickolas, Ian, Peyton and Noah; his siblings and their spouses, Jimmy and Mary Jo Brown of Parkersburg, WV, Beverly Young of Kings Mountain, NC, Bruce McVey of Godfrey and Brian McVey of Arlington, TX and several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial visitation will from 2 to 6 pm Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.  Services will be at 6 pm with Father Tom Liebler officiating.

Inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. 

Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Building Fund.
