Lela (Teems)

Lela Marie Stone (nee Teems), 81, passed away at 7:10 am on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at her residence, and will be missed by her family and friends.

She was born on May 27, 1936 in East Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Clyde V. and Erma G. (Schilling) Stone. Lela married James W. Stone on October 12, 1954, in St. Louis, MO.  He survives.

They are life-long members of the Assembly of God Faith.

She is survived by two children, Debra A. (David) Reno of Benld, IL and James W. (Sheryl) Stone II of Jerseyville, IL; grandchildren, Alisha Stone, Ryan Stone, Alyxia Reno, Andrew Reno; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Delores Benson of Windsor, IL; a brother, Clyde V. Teems of Rolla, MO, and a sister-in-law, Rose.  As well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento, IL, at 2 pm. Pastor Dennis Day will be officiating. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.
