Linda Lee Nagel, 65, passed away peacefully at home, at 10:33 am on Saturday, May 9, 2026, her 42nd wedding anniversary.
She was born on February 7, 1961 in St. Louis, MO to Robert Carl Aldridge, Sr.and Mildred May (Wallace) Aldridge.
She married the love of her life, Stephen Nagel, on May 9, 1984. He preceded her in death.
Linda was a 1979 graduate of Edwardsville Senior High School. She and Stephen were proud veterans of the US Air Force. After serving her country, Linda worked as a Bank Teller for Regions Bank until her retirement.
She had a lifelong love of adventure, whether traveling abroad or just spending the day in St. Louis. Affectionately deemed "stubborn" by her loved ones, she never let anything hold her back. She was a star customer at Scooter's Coffee, and was even honored with her own special "Linda Day" upon her passing. She could often be found playing a round of bingo, shopping for a good bargain, or accessorizing with her signature fur coats and sunglasses. Above all else in life, she was fiercely supportive of her family. No matter what else was going on, she provided constant love and care to her loved ones, especially her youngest family members. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She will be deeply missed.
Linda is survived by her mother, Mildred Aldridge; her son, Matt Nagel; her siblings, Robert Aldridge, Jr., Kimberly Dean, and Anthony Aldridge; her granddaughter and bonus grandkids, Evalyn Hetrick, Paislynn Aldridge, and Carter Barfield; her nephew, Matt (Brittany Tackett) Aldridge; and Louie LaPom, her beloved pet Pomeranian whom she adored and treated like her baby.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father; her daughter, Victoria "Jenna" Nagel; and a brother, Barry Aldridge.
A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials can be made to Matt Nagel to fund a future trust for Linda's granddaughter, Evalyn.
