Linda Nehring

Linda S. Nehring of Harvel, IL formerly of St. Louis, MO, died in the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Thursday June 25, 2020 aged 68 years. Beloved wife for over 36 years of Joseph Nehring; dearest Mother of Chandra (Dan) Walden, Steven (Rachael) Nehring, Marjorie (Aaron) Schmeerbauch; loving Grandmother of Elaina Sullivan (fiancé Eddie Knox), Jenna Walden, Oliver and Dorothy Nehring, Abram and Miram Schmeerbauch; great grandmother of Emilia Knox; aunt, cousin, and friend.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Dorothy Young, her brother, Terry Young, and granddaughter, Brianna Keim.

An active LCMS Lutheran, Linda served Jesus Christ her Lord as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother and friend. Linda served as an active church volunteer, church secretary and Coordinator of Continuing Education at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Linda was an avid Genealogist who researched her family tree extensively.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 3715 Wabash Ave. in Granite City. In celebration of Linda’s life, visitation will continue on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Beuster officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 3906 Mt. Olive Road in St. Louis
