Lois Peach

Lois I. Peach, 94, passed away 5:55 p.m. Monday, December 25, 2017 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.

Born in Panama, IL on March 10, 1923, she was the daughter of Alva J. and Rose (May) Ash.

She graduated Wood River High school and was employed as an executive secretary for the Olin Corporation primarily in the Clayton office for John Olin.  After retiring from Olin, she continued to serve as Board Secretary for the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals or several years.

She married William R. "Riley" Peach on August 20, 1942 in Wood River.  He died December 21, 2004.

Surviving are a daughter, Janis K. Peach of Rosewood Heights; son, William R. Peach, Jr. and grandson, William Christopher Peach both of Albuquerque, NM; and two sisters, Berenice Martin and Gwendolyn Oliver both of Rosewood Heights.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Rev. Dan Smith will officiate.

Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation.
