Louis Lachner

Louis Richard Lachner, 81, passed away 1:20 am, Wednesday, January 1, 2010 at Robings Manor in Brighton.

Born October 13, 1938 in Granite City, he was the son of Louis and Anna (Gabrich) Lachner.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he had worked in the warehouse loading department for Colonial Bakery before retiring.

On April 17, 1978 in Rosewood Heights, he was married to Esther Kopsie.  She died September 11, 2005.

Surviving are sons, Rick (Kim) Lachner, Bob (Shelia) Lachner, Tim (Stacy) Boyer, Rodney (Melissa) Boyer, Tom (April) Lachner; daughters, Barb Carpenter, Tammy (Scott) Franklin; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

Graveside Services and Burial will be Friday, January 3 at 11 am in Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
