Marcia Prater

Marcia Lynn Prater, 65, of Granite City, IL, died at 8:46 a.m. Fri. Nov. 7, 2025 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.

She was born Oct. 3, 1960 in Washington Park, IL to the late Robert and Dorothy (Niemeyer) Harrison.

On Oct. 22, 1993, she and Dale W. Prater were married in Edwardsville, IL.  He survives.

Marcia retired from Anderson Hospital dietary department.  She loved to crochet.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 4 children, Joshua Boyles of Crestwood, MO, and Amanda Lilly, James Lilly, and Jacob Prater of Granite City, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, CJ, Brendan, Lindzee, and Jessica.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Lynle Harrison, and a sister, Brenda Harrison.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. Fri. Nov. 14, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory.  The family asks for guests to be in casual attire.
