Margaret Farley

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret “Peggy” Ann Farley, nee Sternau, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend. Margaret passed away peacefully, Monday, September 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on May 30, 1938, Margaret lived a life marked by grace, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. She retired in 2023 from Dandell Property Management at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and kindness that touched everyone she worked with.

Margaret will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the deep love she gave to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don Ray Farley, Sr., who died on March 7, 1969; her parents, Henry and Anne Marie, nee Meurer, Sternau; her brother, Robert (Anita) Sternau; and her sister, Dolores (Edmund) Bauer.

Margaret is survived by her four children, Debra Moore (Roger) of Raymond, NH, Don Farley (Joy) of Swansea, Donna Farley (Lori Blade) of Maryville, and Dana Roschnafsky of Waterloo. She was a proud grandmother to Seth Farley, Casey Farley (fiancé Jake Hettenhausen), and Sydney Muir (Austin) all of Belleville; and a loving great-grandmother to Mason Muir. She also leaves behind many close family friends who were like family to her.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
