Margaret Valentine

Margaret A. “Marge” Valentine, 74, of Hot Springs, AR, born April 20, 1951, in Farmington, WV, died June 3, 2025, at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, TX.

Margaret was a member of Goldwing Road Riders Association, Chapter O and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Belmont R. “Buddy” Valentine, Jr.; her parents, Evan L. and Virginia A., nee Starkey, Simon; her former spouse, Wallace J. Sweet; and a brother-in-law, Gary Martin.

She is survived by her two children, Michael P. Sweet and Jolene E. (Justin Hulsey) Sanders, three grandchildren, Austin, Dustin, and Kyle; a great-grandchild, Amara; her brother, Ronald (Shirley) A. Simon; two sisters, Nancy J. (Ronald) Musgrave and Frances G. Martin; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Diabetes Association, or the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

According to Margaret’s wishes, cremation services will be held.

Burial will be at Smithton City Cemetery, Smithton, IL.
