
Marilyn Leuty, 76, passed away October 2, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born October 18, 1949 in Alton. She married Jimmie L. Leuty, June 30, 1968; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2021.
Lovingly known as “Aunt Marilyn” to most, she retired from Lakin Law Firm after 30 years. In her free time, she loved spending time with family.
She survived by her daughter, Sandra Holt of O’Fallon, MO; her mother, Alma N. (Long) Luter of South Roxana; grandchildren, Nichole R. Holt and Steven K. Holt; brother, Jerry L. Christeson of Bethalto; sister, Brenda K. (John) Dustman of Wood River; nephews Jeremy (Jill) Christeson and Jason (Jennifer) Christeson, all of Bethalto; nieces Sarah Friedrich of Highland and Emily Dustman of St. Louis; and many other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her father, Kenneth L. Christeson.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11 a.m. until memorial services begin at 1 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
