Marion Paul

Marion Lloyd Paul, 90, died at 8:21 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2026 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born August 5, 1935 in Alton, he was the son of William and Alice (Krieg) Paul.

Marion retired as a department manager for Sears and Roebuck at Northwest Plaza. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.

?On September 13, 1957 he married the former Norma Thompson in Fosterburg, IL. She preceded him in death.

Surviving is a daughter, Barb Fisk (Jim) of Brighton and a son, Lynn Paul (Julie) of Godfrey, three grandchildren: Erika Paul of Dallas, Trevor Paul (AnnaSophia) of New York City, and Hannah (Lucas) Williams of New York City, two step grandchildren: Stacie Perigo (Kevin) of Mitchell, and Jamie Fisk of Granite City, one great grandchild: June Jacqueline Williams of New York City and two step great grandchildren: Taylor Oehlecker of Granite City, Hannah and Kaitlynn Perigo of Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Wierzbicki, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate. Private graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Fosterburg Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Christian School and Fosterburg Cemetery Association.
