Mark Uhlemeyer

Mark Alan Uhlemeyer, 52, of Alton, lost his short battle with cancer and passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012. He was born November 1, 1960. He was the son of Patsy (Duncan) Uhlemeyer of East Alton and the late Elmer Uhlemeyer. His father preceded him in death on August 30, 2010. After graduation from Roxana High School in 1979, he attended Southern Illinois University, and was a Belleville Area College Insurance Marketing graduate. Mark loved to cook, loved animals and sports, and was a good friend to many. In addition to his mother he is survived by two sisters, Christine Uhlemeyer of East Alton, and Carol Burke (Mick) of Chesterfield, MO, two nieces, Erin and Alexandra Burke, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Ginger. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
