Mary Elizabeth Kahl, 100, of Shipman died at 8:03 A.M. on Sat June 10, 2017 at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home in Jerseyville. She was born on Nov 6, 1916 at Shipman, IL to Joseph & Edna (Kahl) Travers

She married Wilbur “Web” O Kahl on Feb 26, 1938 in St Charles, MO. Wilbur passed away on Aug 28, 2012.She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Kay & Don Jenks of Collierville, TN and son and daughter in law, Rick & Joan Kahl of Flint, MI, 4 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded on death by her parents, her husband, a son, Paul Kahl and 2 sisters, Irma Fenton & Henrietta Hucklebridge and a brother, Glenn Travers.Visitation will be 1-2 pm Sat June 17, 2017 at the Shipman United Methodist ChurchFuneral Services will be at 2 pm on Sat June 17, 2017 at the Shipman United Methodist Church with Rev Dr David Melvin officiating.Burial will be in Shipman Cemetery.Memorial may be made to Shipman United Methodist Church.
