Mary Reynolds

Mary Frances Reynolds, 74, passed away at 7:35 am Wednesday May 9, 2012 at Provisions in Godfrey.

She was born on August 12, 1937, the daughter of Leo Sr. & Frances Lucille (Patrick) Hoy.

She married George Reynolds on March 22, 1956 in Winchester, IL and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2004.

She volunteered at the Alton and Edwardsville Museum’s and enjoyed working on rental houses with her husband George and playing cards.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kim & Les Buel of Godfrey, and a son Geoffrey Reynolds of Wood River, IL; three grandchildren, Justin & Ashley Buel of Alton, Jenifer Buel of Godfrey, and Zachary Reynolds of Wood River, IL; two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Ethan Buel; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Leo Hoy Jr. of Texas, and Frank & Debbie Hoy of Indiana, one sister, Margaret & Gerald Miller of Indiana.  Also surviving are a nephew Ralph S. Reynolds III and his wife Bonnie of Fosterburg, a niece Michelle Michael and her husband Uwe Wrede of San Jose, CA and a niece Debbie Reynolds of Kankakee, IL.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Eva Buchanan, and a step mother, Anna Margaret Hoy.

Visitation will be from 11 am until time of memorial services at 1 pm Saturday at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton with Pastor David Burger officiating.

Inurnment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
