Mary “Susie” Bensman-Logsdon

Sadly, Susie left us on April 2, 2026 at the age of 75.

She was the second child of L. Bernard and Helen E. Bensman. She was fortunate to grow up with four siblings, three of whom survive her; Connie Bond, Jim (Claire) Bensman, Jeff (Peggy) Bensman, sister-in-law Ann Bensman and an “adopted” sister Sheila Segraves. Her brother Andy Bensman and brother-in-law Bob Bond preceded her in death. She also had cousins and nieces and nephews who she loved.

Susie is also survived by her son, Chris Logsdon and his partner Yvonne Daniels. She always felt Chris was a blessing and loved him dearly.

Susie was deeply artistic in both painting and crafts, and her creativity also shone in the gardens she designed and tended. She was happiest when creating or planting.

She had many friends who will miss her dearly including a wonderful circle of “Girl Friends” that she had known and laughed with for many years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 27th from 2-5 PM at the Alton Wood River Sportsman’s Club Trap Building.
