Michele Lasswell

Michele Rene Lasswell, 63, passed away 5 am, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born in Alton on November 15, 1954, she was the daughter of George Lasswell and Freda (Harris) Lasswell Frye.

A 1972 graduate of Civic Memorial High School, Rene considered her family as the most important aspect of her life.  She was dearly loved and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  She was an avid lover of camping and nature and will be remembered as a kind and loving friend to many.

Surviving are her sons, Steven Lyles, Eric Belcher and Justin (Ashley) Reeder; daughter Rachael (Jonathan) Rhodes; 14 grandchildren; nephew, Pippin Lasswell; and sister, Simone Pamela Lasswell.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Greg Lasswell; and very close and dear cousin, Steve Miller.

A Celebration of Life Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, August 18 from 12 pm until time of service at 3 pm at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research Foundation, in honor of her mother.
