Nancy Goen

Nancy Jeanette Goen, 78, died at 1:55 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Integrity of Alton.  She was born December 11, 1938 in Alton the daughter of the late William Robert and Stella (Skibiski).   She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  She married Charles Goen in Alton and he survives.  Also surviving are three children, Denise Sugent (Joseph) of Godfrey, Dennis Goen (Kay) of Fieldon, IL and David Goen (fiancé’ Kimberly Hipsher) of Alton, four grandchildren, Jason, Zeb, Jessica and Max, five great grandchildren, Kida, Jocelyn, Wesley, Zander, and Chloe, one sister, Starla Moeller (Goeff) of Arizona.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Derrick Goen, one brother, Jimmy Miller and one sister, Marlene Berghoff.  Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.  A mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton  with Father John Paul Klein, OMV officiating.   Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Alton.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or St. Mary’s Catholic  School.  Additional information and online guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
