Nathanial Alderfer

Nathanial D. Alderfer, 43, of Grass Valley, California, passed away on November 13, 2017.

He was born on September 12, 1974 in Champaign, Illinois and is the son of W. Kenneth Alderfer of Grass Valley and the late Karen Webster Funk.

He was a 1992 graduate of Calhoun High School and was employed as a I.T. Specialist and a musician, and enjoyed hiking.

In addition to his father, he is also survived by a son; Nathan M. Alderfer of Greenfield, a daughter; Katelyn N. Alderfer of Dow;  his siblings; Trevor J. Alderfer of Edwardsville and Nichole L. Alderfer of St. Louis, his grandmother, Anna Ruth Webster of Bethalto, four grandchildren; Alexis, Bryleigh, Cailyn, and Jaxon.

Visitation for Nathanial and his mother, Karen Webster Funk will be on Saturday, January 6, 2018, 1:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 pm at Second Chances Community Church, 4836 N. Alby Street in Godfrey with Pastor Jim Kiel officiating.

Memorials may be made to Alton Area Animal Aid Association or to a memorial fund of one’s choice.
