Norma Hauck

Norma Hauck, 87, died at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Evelyn’s House in St. Louis. She was born April 5, 1938 in Alton the daughter of the late Lloyd and Velma (Buhs) Cochran.

Norma was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. She worked as the bookkeeper for Wells-Hauck Tire in Alton for many years with her husband and son. Norma also volunteered in the OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital gift shop.

On March 3, 1962 she married Larry Dale Hauck, and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2024.

She is survived by one son, David Hauck (Kimberly) of Alton, two grandchildren, Jay Hauck of Alton and Mallory Elzy (Seth) of Alton, one great grandchild, Cooper Elzy and one brother, Bob Cochran.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Sonny, Buddy, Jim, Richey and four sisters, Marge, Pat, Della and Judy.

Private services will be at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with private burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey. Father Steven Janoski will officiate.
